Oh she's sending u more porcelain eggs! That's awesome!Thank you @kurby22 and @Gammas Bearded Babies.
Sorry about your blind girl.
How old was she? What kind of accommodations did you have to make for her?
I still have the one porcelain, tiny little thing. Pretty sure it is female. The breeder is sending more eggs, so I have not given up yet.
In the mean time it is DAY 18 for the “Layla” eggs. All 13 that were set have gone to lock down.

How many of your Cochins hatched finally @Gammas Bearded Babies? I seem to have lost track. Looks like you got at least two mottled. Did the little lavender end up being black? I need to see more pics!
Can’t wait to see the d’Anvers @kurby22. I did not even know they came in a white variety!![]()
I think that you’re right, they all look mottled, the two with the white heads for sure. They’re all so cute, little chubby round fluff balls!Oh she's sending u more porcelain eggs! That's awesome!
And all of Layla's went to lockdown! Wow!!!
I ended up with 4 out of 5 in lockdown hatching. They all "look" mottled to me...but idk.
Here's a video clip of em this morning.
I'll try to get good pics tonight when grandson and the chicks are all sleepy

Thank you for sharing your experiences with Honey! And thank you so much for all the info about how you cared for her. Thanks, Honey was a really special girl and I will miss her so muchShe was about a year and a half. I found she did much better cooping herself with a near the ground coop and uncomplicated ramp. I also placed her in the treat bin each day so she did not have to hunt and peck for treats. This was her favorite part of each day. The vet said they are always really thin birds because finding food is tougher and they just give up more often than other chickens that see fine. I also noticed that she did better finding her food and water when the containers were very contrasting colors--all one color or blue or silvery colored feeders she struggled to locate, but my red and white waterers and feeds were much easier. If I had to move food or water, I would show her where it was several times and then she was good. The hardest part was the other chickens patience with her. She unknowingly got in the way and would get pecked and it made her sad. She would lay her head on my shoulder when I held her and coo...I think she would have loved being a house chicken. She was having a really significantly bad hard molt and I think her body just couldn't recover
I clearly was attached haha, sorry that was more than you needed in you HAL thread!
I'm glad to hear that you are getting some more of the porcelain eggs! Can't wait to see the Layla eggs hatch!
I know, I found the d'Anver color in the ABA and reached out to the BBDA Club and found a lady who is working on them! So happy! I just love my black and self-blue d'Anvers. They are such sweet little birds. My future project is going to be working on mottled d'Anvers using my bantam EEs and my black d'Anvers.![]()
