Just when I was going to give Mocha some babies -- due to hatch tomorrow, she seems to have decided to stop brooding her golf balls.

Wow that was fast! Gotta be a boy ... right?!So, about 4:30, just before starting dinner, I check the eggs. No peeping, no rocking, no pips visible. Nothing.
Just about 5:30, I'm finishing up cooking and suddenly hear LOUD peeping. First baby of the hatch is out.

Most of my "fast" ones like that have been.
Only reason I can is cuz I'm only keeping one or two from each hatch...n I'm always DRAWN to the boys...ughI can never tell which is which once they start mixing themselves up.
Well I don't ever have more than 12 hatch at a single time...and typically they are mostly black or blue...the last few that I've had that were lighter colors were first hatchers...so quite different from yall that have many more at one time hatching. If mine were all same colors I'd never know either I'm sure lolol. It has always amazed me that some people can tell which chick came from which egg.
