I recandled them today and the all black egg was normal again! I could see the embryo and he was moving around a bunch!Welcome!All black does not sound normal. I see you have posted some photos.
I do not see anything very well in these photos. Candling from the top is easier I think. You have gotten some good advice from @WIchickMama. Were you able to see anything after?

I also candled the second egg in there an it looked like there was an embryo but the veining was very weird? The veins looked all jumbled up and there was a dark line going around half of the egg and it stopped at the embryo? It almost looked like intestines. This is the second candling that it has looked like this.
A quick update- On one of the black chicks, I saw a white headspot!
One of my wishes out of these chicks was for them to be barred, as it’s my favorite patterning on chickens, and the white headspot is a confirmation on them being su ch. The rooster who fathered these chicks was only single-barred, so about a 50% chance to pass it. Also, another black chick with a white headspot hatched out a few minutes ago! 2/7 I can clearly see the spot on so far!

It’ll take the lightly-colored chicks until they’re fully fluffed out for me to tell on them, I think. Unless the father only passed his barring onto 1/4 of the chicks. Whatever it be, i’m quite happy that I got barred chicks!

Oh that is a good shipping egg hatch! Can't wait to see em all floofy!!!So here this morning 6:30 AM there are 7 chicks in the incubator.
The last one, a porcelain, is still working on hatching. There was one DIS, one of the white ones.
Assuming this last one hatches that will be 8 out of 16 that were set and 8 out of 9 that went to lockdown. Pretty fantastic hatch rate for shipped eggs!
The porcelain chick is quite gorgeous with a lavender colored body and a buff colored head. The one that was marked lemon cuckoo I have no idea what color to call, but I do not think it is lemon cuckoo. From what I understand about this color it is almost a light yellow buff with subtle white barring. This chick is a silvery color with some buff around the face.
I’ll have to check with the breeder to see what she thinks.
Several of them have significant vaults which I’m actually trying to breed away from, so I’m not sure how valuable these will be for my breeding program. Will have to wait and see.
