October Hatch-A-Long

I will be hatching 5 Buff Bantam babies in October. Projected hatch date: October 19th! This will be my first time incubating and hatching!

Day 3 and we have 4 out of our 7 eggs showing signs of developing! Won't be candling again until day 10. I am hoping we have a better rate on these E-bay eggs than the last E-bay eggs. We only have 2/8 going into lockdown on Tuesday from those eggs.. I would be happy if we got 3 out of this new batch of Silkie eggs, though! Getting excited!

So how light were your shells? I can't see anywhere near that clearly.

pretty light. These are Silkie eggs and like a creme color. I also have RSL's that lay brown eggs. It can be hard to see in them early on but by day 10 I can see. Nothing compared to a white egg but still clear if there is a chick growing or not.

Tonight at midnight is the start of day 17. Humidity has rising 10% by itself and nothign has changed. Humidity in my other incubator hasn't changed at also I know its not just the environment. What would cause this? early hatch maybe?

Set eggs at 10 pm last night. I have a LG 9200 still air and plan on doing a dry hatch. Last hatch nothing hatched and had four late death (day 15-16 and one day 19). The air cells looked good so I'm doing it again on this batch. I got some great video and pictures from the last batch hoping I can again this time.

I have made several adjustments so

for this batch. They are a mix of Barred Rock (boy) and Australorp, Mutt's that look just like my Australorp, RIR (hatchery) and Barred rock.

ETA
Hatch date the 19th'ish.

I read somewhere on here that as the chicks get ready to hatch that the humidity rises. I was warned over and over again to be careful about how high humidity was at lockdown because it raises as the chicks get close. I believe it was because of the albumin being absorbed. I'll look for the link and post it.

Of course now that I am trying to find the link I cannot
