October Hatch-A-Long

It's more than 24 hours after the first hatch (and moreso since pip) and the second egg hasn't been doing anything. I know to give til day 25 and then take a closer look, but I'm worried it might be dead! Poor single chick is very lonely, and my second batch doesn't go in to lockdown until the 14th. I really hope the 2nd egg hatches, but I might consider buying a chick locally. Sleeping by the brooder and speed showering to keep the baby from crying constantly gets old fast!

Does anyone have advice for finding chicks? Chick season is long over, I'm worried I won't be able to even if I decide to! This is also a serama baby, so they are TEENSY

Check your local BYC page... I'm sure someone close to you has a chick they can spare!

If you can't find any chicks local put a small mirror in with it
