Early day 18 here and have 2 external pips and a 3rd internal pip! I might be a day off though, so may actually be early day 19. either way it's exciting! It's like a never ending hatch here lol just had 2 silkies hatch out yesterday.

Wonderful suprise this morning all babies are up and peeping around. Whew what a scare. I almost cried several times.

One more week for 4 Seramas eggs and 3 Silkie eggs still in the running and 1 egg from my frizzle hen! I have 4 more of Frizzles in at day 7 and have 4 more to put in... hopefully a few will hatch this time... last time they all quit. I am secretly thinking I want a few more Silkies before Winter... she has lavender and show girls!!!

I really want a paint silkie I have my 11 RIR on lockdown. A little nervous since I'm hatching in a new bator, Its a hovabator still air. Currantly at 101/55, hoping that is ok. I have 12+ cream legbar eggs coming in the mail!!!

Nobody knows...lol As long as I can hatch a couple girls on the legbars, then I'm done hatching till my wyandottes start laying. Will keep in touch. Good luck hatching!

We have a third external pip! It seems like once one piped they start like popcorn! hahah and its only day 18! Maybe i'll have some babies tomorrow Now to sit on my hands with my face glued to the face waiting for them to zip1

I hope the RIR do well! I won't tell about the legbars, they lay the pretty blue eggs right?

I think I will see if I get a few Silkies this hatch and wait to get more... we'll see. I probably have enough chickens right now!

As far as I know, someone is collecting duck eggs for me though... a dozen Anconas for $8!!! I just couldn't pass that up!

I was about to go to bed, checked on eggs. and had one that was almost completely zipped! 10 minutes later we have a white leghon/speckled sussex chick!!

Last two hatches have been bantam silkies, almost forgot how big standard chicks are

Here are the two Silkies I hatched out yesterday, now that the splash is dried

And don't worry, thats just washable marker on the chicks..marked on white silkie before I realized what other was so I could tell them apart..well it rubbed onto the splash as well. ha!













And here is our leghorn mix that just hatched. Today is only day 18!
