Me too. 50 percent on a shipped batch under a broody, and less than 25 percent in an incubator. I'm sticking to hand delivered eggs for now, even if I have to drive a ways to get them

Hello, I joined this thread because I have chicken (+quail) eggs in both incubators now. The smaller batch of 7 eggs is mutts + Leghorns and I am so much hoping to finally hatch some Leghorns. They are going to Lockdown on Monday. Then I have a full incubator of 54 mutts eggs that will hatch end of the month...

after a very long day I finally took time to candle those 2 eggs I was not sure about... both are alive. Usually when I am not sure and leave them in they turn out dead the next time I candle but this time they are alive. total of 42 heading into the Oct 14th hatch day. Columbus Day chicks!

How soon/early do you candle the eggs? My 54 eggs are on day 5 now but I am not an experienced hatcher and I don't know what to look for when candling so early, that's why I candle at Lockdown. What breed are your eggs?

I have many breeds and crosses in this hatch, Seramas, multiple variations of Naked Neck/Dorking/Red Rangers crosses, Dark Egg Red bird project birds (not sure what to call them yet) Ayam Cemanis, Silver Leghorns, Dorking's And Domoniques

Just candled my eggs. I have 21 out of 24 growing great!! Currently more nervous but still excited

What day number do you candle at? I’m chomping at the bit !!! I’m on day 4
