I candled last night, 2 did not look right... I may be down to 40. I left them in because sometimes I am really bad at picking them out unless there is an obvious blood ring.

well.. stop turning them now. It won't hurt them. Are you sure the chick inside the egg is chirping..? I had my incubator next to a window in the room and initially I was hearing chirping way earlier than Lockdown until I realized there is bird nest on the outside of the window and I was hearing the babies from the nest, not from the incubator.. Don't laugh
I am not an expert, so maybe someone more experienced could say, but I would stop the turning at this point.

Yes I already did. The eggs has a crack in it now so it's definitely the egg.I added water to boost the humidity.

I candled the first part of my staggered hatch last night (Day 7 for that part) and found all three OD eggs developing - YEA! As expected, all four of the supposed OD cross eggs were clear (I think the little roo is intimidated by the bossy cochin bantam ladies). Waiting till next week to candle the second half of the stagger, Day 10 on the second half countdown.

I am glad I am working long hours this week, otherwise I'll be checking the eggs every 20min..

Right there with you, Maiahr. That, and knowing that those OD eggs are so delicate that handling them as little as possible will make them more likely to hatch. My November-start hatch will be all ODs. I may very well go crazy that time around.

Yes 3times the last time I did I just saw a bunch of dark ness and some blood vessels. All eggs were the same.

Were these your own eggs? I know if your temperature is a little high they'll hatch a bit early but I've never had them hatch before they went into lockdown.

Is it just one with a crack? Is it a pip or is the shell cracked?
