Then I got 2 I've been working with and 3 healthy.

Just picked up these three little nuggets. They’re from November 1 but I’m going to give myself that extra day leeway and put them on this thread!
It was a three hour round-trip so we had to stop halfway home and let them have some food and water. They were quite hungry so I think they appreciated it! I asked the seller for light blue ones. Sexed from the hatchery so should be 90% chance they are female. I’ll ask you @3KillerBs to check out the combs for me when they get a few weeks older.

Yes, all white! I can’t wait for those cute little bearded faces in all white They’re seriously funny little chicks! I’ve never had any this needy for me over their brooder—they just stand in the brooder yelling at me

Thanks they are doing great! With the three new additions, now all 25 of them! Hard to give them the individual attention they deserve when there are this many!
I just sold a few of my older birds, so there will be more room for these guys.

They are so fluffy, I didn’t expect this from Australorps! I had a pair of black Australorps about 10 years ago, but I don’t remember them looking like this.

They are so fluffy, I didn’t expect this from Australorps! I had a pair of black Australorps about 10 years ago, but I don’t remember them looking like this.

If they're anything like mine the fluff will be feathers in no time flat so enjoy it while it lasts.

These little darlings are 4 weeks today. The splash is probably a girl and the other two shown are definite boys.

No fuzz left except on their heads.

Yes, standard hatchery quality from Ideal!
Bought them for their amazing egg laying ability. They are replacing Frankie,
a hen that I had that just recently passed away. Everyone knows when a beloved pet chicken passes you have to buy three to replace it!

@3KillerBs We think we have a Black Australorp, but we're not sure whether she's a Black Orpington or not. I'm leaning towards Black Orpington because of how she looks general, but I just call her a Black Australorp. If you mind, would you tell me which breed she is when I get a picture of her?

I love the splash, it is my one of my favorite chicken colors!
They do grow fast!
Takes the Silkies about eight weeks to lose the baby fluff.
