October hatch "Grow-a-long"🐄

Sounds like my 86 year old mom, who lives with me!šŸ¤£ā¤ļø
Yeah I told my brother this ain't workin...daughters always get the parents it seems...she n I have an arm's length relationship otherwise she tries to rule me even as an adult. Took me 30 years to see that sadly.
Hopefully yall get along much better!!!

How are the chicks doing, if you wouldn't mind me asking? :)

My 4-week-olds are happily living in the integration pen in the main coop off heat and doing well.

At this time of year I'd have let them have the heat another week, but it's unusually warm this week and they weren't really using the brooder plate anymore so I moved them out.

No fresh pictures today though. I was too busy on my day off to catch chicks.

Glad they're happy!

Yeah my cochin babies are in the big brooder with heat plate still...but they only use it at night.
My buff Silkies are still in the kitchen with lots of vitamins and now corid. And still have one possible FTT.
Ugh

Chicks are 2.5 weeks old, momma is doing great with them. They are really starting the feather out beyond their wings. Going to get down into the 20s this weekend so adding some more line shavings to the coop but they should be fine.

Wanted to switch to heated dog bowls but thinking 3 weeks still might be too young (fear if drowning)? Thoughts anyone?

I hope that works out right for you.
Yeah yours are bout 10 days ahead of mine. Cold front is coming this weekend so we'll see. I gotta get the windbreaker up!
I remember last winter you had given me the idea to put stuff everywhere in the run so they could get protection. But now my run is smaller since that first one collapsed on me so less room in the run.
