October Hatching ... How many are in? I'm due to hatch on 10/17

as long as they are rocking and peeping strong i would leave them be are you vents open? if not open them that will help lower the humidity, i did my last hatch with the humidity between 75 and 80. good luck!

Thanks! Well, those two are still ok. Their pips are slightly larger, and they're still rocking and peeping. I wish they would just hatch already! It's been more than 25 hours. But, I've had 3 others hatch in the mean time and 4 more pip. Hopefully the humidity is not a problem then.
thanks for the words of comfort!

If they have curled toes due to the humidity they may not be able to zip out. I had this happen alot with my last few hatches of quail. I lost the 4 EE's and lots of quail. I was only able to save a few. Their toes are soo tiny it's hard to boot them. I managed to make it work with 2 of them, Well I did 3 and the mean lisle buggers picked at one of them till they mutilated it. I didn't know it was going on because I was at the auction all day. I came home to a partially alive but mutilated chick. Of course, I culled it to end it's misery.

I have a pip!!! I have a bunch of MF D'uccle eggs, a few salmon favorelle and about 10 'barnyard mix' eggs in the bator. All that are left (about 30) candled OK at day 18. One of my 'mix' eggs has pipped! They are due tonight, so right on schedule.

Got it back down to 100.4 (using a still air, I understand that's acceptable, even a little low). Hope for something to happen today.....I have to work tomorrow.....and don't get off until 5!!

I had eleven hatch! two Buff Orpingtons eight blue orp's and one little D'uncle. So Cute. They hatched on Friday!

Help ~ They have all been really active, but one is not laying really still and seems to be gasping for air. I separated her out (just put her in a small container in the same brooder) and have her under the heat lamp. But what else can I do? and what do you think it is?

Well 2 out of 3 is not bad, don't think the 3rd egg will hatch but I am gonna give it another day or two. I was kind of iffy on it the few days leading up to lockdown because it didn't look to be growing as much as the other two or moving

oh well I would of been happy with just one considering this was just a test batch of three, I don't have a hydrometer so I have been winging it, and I don't know how long the eggs I used where in the fridge for

a few days at least. Ok now I am gonna get a hydrometer and fill up the bator

Just have to worm the girls and then I will use the throw away eggs to incubate!
