Odd breathing in roo

A common respiratory problem from wet conditions and mold is aspergillosis, a fungal disease. It can affect the voice and cause gasping. Usually it cannot be diagnosed until a necropsy is performed after death. It is not contagious to other chickens, but since you cannot be sure that he doesn't have anything contagious, or that your other chickens are carriers of what killed the first chicken, I would be cautious in rehoming them. One carrier bird can kill a flock or make them all carriers.
What could a chicken be a carrier of? I haven't seen anything wrong with my hens and all that seems to be wrong with my rooster right now is no voice. Could he have just lost it? I heard him kind of bocking like he usually does when I come up to the coop. He is separated from the rest just in case. I can't see any symptoms of respiratory and he isn't lethargic or gaping. It's so odd because I don't know what is wrong

You did say that you had a hen in January who sneezed, had nasal drainage, gurgling, and died, so that could have been something like mycoplasma (MG,) or coryza. Any respiratory diseases can make carriers of the flock. Your rooster does not sound like he has those symptoms, but the chickens who were exposed to the sick one in Jan, could be carriers.

I did take her away before, so do you think that maybe one of my hens could have given it to her? My bsl hen has been with her since I got them a few years back and the bantams have been with them for 1 year before my buff died. Do you think it could have been a wild bird or its droppings? I did let my buff free range about a week before she started being sick. She didn't start sneezing or coughing until I took her away. My rooster I think just crowed himself out. He seems very normal and he is breathing out of his nose. He even made some noises a little bit.

She didn't have swelling of the face and when she died, she almost looked like she had a nervous system breakdown. She sneezed and when she sneezed, it looked as if she broke her neck and she flipped on her back. She was far away from the rest and I made sure that no-one got out of the coop for a while after she died.
