Odd Crop issue

first, I have read a lot on the crop problems. impacted ones etc on this forum. But I can't seem to figure out exactly what the issue is, if any that one of my hens has with her crop as it doesn't quite match up with typical symptoms of a problem crop.

She is a 5 month old Buff Orpington. About a week ago, in the evening I noticed her crop was huge! at least the size of a tennis ball, likely bigger. I waited until the morning to check again and it was smaller, but still very noticeable. I compared to several other chickens and I couldn't feel theirs at all.

I isolated her for a 24 hour period and it really went down, almost completely. I gave her an egg w olive oil to help.

Let her be w the flock for a few days, and each day I could tell her Crop was significantly bigger than other chickens. However, each morning it was very small- so I haven't been too worried.

Last night at roosting time, her crop was again gigantic. Id say the size of a softball. Not hard and I can massage it. She seemed pretty uncomfortable when I did that. (I have massaged it several other times in the past).

I isolated her again over night and this morning gave her some raw egg w just a few drops of olive oil. I plan on leaving her in the isolation cage until at least tomorrow an feed her small amounts.

So...I doubt its impacted since it does go down a good amount over night. However, it just seem so much bigger than any of my other 14 hens.

Should I be worried or maybe she is just a chicken w a slow acting Crop?

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

How is she today?

She may have a slow or doughy crop. Also you may want to have a fecal sample tested to make sure she doesn't have any internal parasites that could be causing a slow down in digestion.

apparently I did not see this earlier.

So far still good. She must have an extra large crop. It gets bigger than all the other birds, but the next morning its back to normal (empty?). she acts normal, normal poo and she lays eggs.

Glad to hear she is doing well
