Odd lump on chickens head...

Hi there,

I have a few pics of my chicken with an odd lump on the side of her head. I was wondering if anyone had seen something similar, or knew what it was?

Any tips on how to treat - or see a vet?

She has an ear infection, & that's a lump of pus.

Remove the lump, clean with some hydrogen peroxide, & pack the ear with Triple Antibiotic Ointment about once a day.

Add the hydrogen peroxide by wetting a Q-tip, & dabbing in the ear?

It looks like it is near the ear or just behind it. Can you look for the ear canal, and see if it is swollen? It almost looks like a peck wound abscess, or bot fly larvae, but an ear abscess may be right.

Thanks for the feedback. We thought it was just above the ear on the first inspection but will have another look. Will confirm tomorrow.

Is it on ear? Could be an Infection? Can u look at the ear once see for gunk.pus or liquid thing
