Odd Question For The Ladies

I had an OB/Gyn appointment around the same time. She said that alot of caffeine can do it

now that you said that, my niece was having the same problems and she actually had a lump there and doctor told her it was too much caffeine. She has since stopped drinking MT Dew and they are all gone and no more pain either.

I'm for sure going to check out that no underwire bra site. T hanks Southernbelle!

I can do without, but I do love my Iced Tea... not so much cokes... or coffee... but the tea is a favorite since I was a kid.

Luckily with any of those I can just buy Decaf and still get the yummy flavor.

Not too concerned about that, other than the typical caffeine issues... it IS a diuretic after all... but another thing to keep in mind.

You need to go up a cup size.

I don't know why we can't have retractable ones, like cats and dogs. When a dog is done nursing, things become streamlined again! But I digress...

A few years ago, I had some pains. The Dr. said that usually tumors aren't usually associated with pain, so that was good to hear. A mammogram was done, and all is well. That being said, you really should see about getting one. Most likely it is just a hormonal, caffienation issue, but even if you aren't 40 yet, it can be helpful to get a baseline screening done if breast cancer runs in your family. Here is some info I found on the National Cancer Institute.-

"Some state and local health programs and employers provide mammograms free or at low cost. For example, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) coordinates the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. This program provides screening services, including clinical breast exams and mammograms, to low-income, uninsured women throughout the United States and in several U.S. territories. Contact information for local programs is available on the CDC’s Web site at http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/cancercontacts/nbccedp/contacts.asp or by calling the CDC at 1–800–CDC–INFO (1–800–232–4636).

Information about low-cost or free mammography screening programs is also available through NCI’s Cancer Information Service (CIS) at 1–800–4–CANCER (1–800–422–6237). Women can also check with their local hospital, health department, women’s center, or other community groups to find out how to access low-cost or free mammograms."

Thanks Moxie, great info! No one in our clan has ever found anything... not on either side, in the five generations that are currently living anyways, but better to be cautious because those family traits all start somewhere right?

Green... aren't you a sweetheart... I wish... only time I was better than a B was when I was nursing... though, I have put on some weight in the last three years so maybe... definitely need to see about a fitting.

I have had to go to the digital mammography dept every 6 months for the last year (go back next Tuesday actually) and the radiologist said that the pain on the sides (for me anyways) is due to fibrocystic changes in your breast(s). More painful around the time you ovulate she said. She suggested evening primrose and Vitamin E capsules.

I've still not taken those, yet, but for whatever it's worth. It always feels like a "stretched" portion of skin. Kinda a deep throbbing annoying pain.

Please check with your local hospital. There are ways to get a free mammogram.
Any questionable breast anything is worth checking out.

I am feeling sooo dumb right now...
"Actually I only have two of them..." sent me into baffled giggles, until I realized you meant two bras, not two boobs.

I was thinking..."don't we all?"

New bra time. Get a fitting (fredricks of hollywood does them in the mall stores, i think victoria's secret as well). I've found that my measured size is actually a starting point, not written in stone, different designers and styles and i need to drop a band size, or up a cup size.
