So- just hard boiled a batch of eggs and a few of them appear to have a dot (about the size of a pencil eraser) of a creamy substance. What's up with that? they were only a day or two old.....

What color was the dot? If it was grayish then I'll find some like that when I peel hard boiled eggs. Not sure exactly what it is. If it was part of the yolk that was creamy then maybe the water wasn't covering the eggs all the way.

I've seen like a greyish dot on some of mine that ended up cooking too long and caused discoloration. But I don't think it was something in the yolk you're seeing.

maybe it is just fertilized...
is a lighter creamy dot...though not usually as large as a pencil eraser...
but maybe it sort of changed a bit while cooking...

yeah, i was thinking it was probably fertilized. it was in the center. gross. thanks all
