My 12 yr old twin neighbor girls came with me to pick up my first batch of chicks..... I got this sweet hand made drawing for mother’s Day from one of the twins.
The other picture is of my first chicken decor item- found at a thrift store.... I had to bring him home. He is guardian of my garden.
PS- my grown children started buying me chicken items- my husband made me swear I wouldn’t decorate the house in chicken decor. So as the kids bought stuff one day he told them: “we are not running a chicken sanctuary! Stop bringing your mother chicken items!!” LOL he was being funny, and they still bring me stuff!

I went to a car boot sale today. I thought there would be loads of chicken themed knickknacks for sale. Nothing na da zilch. But I did get the nightmare on elm Street box set! Classic!

look what I found in a box of stuff that had been forgotten in my water heater closet. Hubby said it belonged to his late grandmother. It must have been lost in the shuffle when we combined households over 7 years ago.
