OEGB Question

Yes ma'am! I am a huge fan of those chicks.
AWWWW!!! :love I've always wanted to know what that cross would look like. Tried to hatch a Wheaten AM bantam X OEGB from my own flock, but it died on day 20. Please keep us updated as your little one grows....pretty please? ;):love

I would agree they appear to be mixes of colors, but no less gorgeous for it. :love

Not really. There are many breeds where male and female coloring are more apparent far before the appearance of male specific feathering. BBR varieties, Salmon faverolles, Sicilian buttercups, and the list goes on.
Yes, I know. But I'm not going to get all technical when it's not really needed.

Then you should have worded your reply to indicate such.

You said:
I apologize. I wasn't thinking of those few breeds when I replied.

It would take a long time if you thought of every possible thing relating to what you were saying, to post a reply.
I shouldn't have said it was the only thing. But in a case like that, sometimes it's not necessary to get all picky.

No problem. That’s why we have such a wonderful community here where everyone’s input counts.

And I know it’s quite difficult to word everything perfectly with every single post. I’m sure I’ve misspoken a time or two.......

(thousand). :gig

It's no big deal! I know OEGB can be sexed by pattern pretty early if they're certain color varieties like BBR or Silver Duckwing, I just wasn't sure how early it could be done. I knew there could be several possible color varieties to hatch but I wasn't expecting them to be mixed colors. She listed Mille Fluer, Silver Duckwing, Golden Duckwing, Black, Ginger Red, Red Pyle and a few other possibilities as what could hatch out. My question is really irrelevant though because they don't fall under a standard color. It's nice information to know though! I'll just have to wait it out!

I'm fairly confident that this one is a pullet.

6 1/2 weeks! They're gorgeous little chicks, the coloring on the last is my favorite! Don't mind the Blue Ameraucana, it's just nosy. Too cute not to share though.
