I lost two girls in broad daylight. I never found a trace, but a week later we found coyote scat in that same pasture.

They do indeed hunt in daylight sometimes.

The coyotes around here can and do hunt 24/7.

The strange thing was that my M.I.L.'s dogs usually keep the coyotes away, they chase them off all the time. Maybe they accidently got locked up for the day.... because I never heard anything. No goose honks. No nothing.

Could she have some how gotten under something - the house (maybe an access door was left open and swung shut on its own), a shed - and she is either stuck or has a nest?

Coyotes always come up from the wash and took her... and the other three flew off. I have noooooo idea. I wish she was on a nest...
