Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Eclipse watched for a moment longer, her tail twitching. Sunspot set fire to a small clump of moss, and a moment later, a pile of leaves. Eclipse didn't like one bit of it, and she wished desperately to hear what they were saying, but she was too far away.
And she definitely didn't like that wide teeth-filled grin she gave the Lunarwing as she did.
Alright time's up, she thought standing up in the hollow and stretching. Time to break these two up before they do something dumb.
She perched up on the wooden edge of the tree hollow and then dropped down toward the clearing, flapping a couple of times near the ground to slow herself and land gracefully on the cool moss.
"Alright listen up," she said, as authoritative as she could muster, pacing forward between the two other dragons. She turned toward Sunspot first.
"I have somewhere important to be and we don't have time to get to the Scorpion Den and finish the mission before then. You're gonna have to stick with me for at least another night, and then we can finish the job and be off and done with it."
She turned toward the other Lunarwing, staring at her tensely from the stream shallows.
"I could leave you here alone or take you with me. It's your choice. Honestly, I don't want to carry you across the continent, but staying out here on your own in your condition is... unadvised. Again, your choice. But we are leaving now so make it fast."
She flared her wings and glanced at the sky impatiently.
Neoma looked at Eclipse, a bored expression settling on her features. She huffed lightly, not bothering to hide a slight smirk. "Yeah yeah, I get to stick with the joyful dragon who wants to drag my butt everywhere...."
She stretched her wings experimentally, flinching a tiny bit. "Not bad, I think I could fly on my own, but honestly, I'm a little curious about the fact that there's another Lunarwing and also the fact that you two don't like each other and yet are working together... Well, I'm sticking with you two for the time being because I'm nosy, to be honest."
She grinned at Eclipse and Sunspot, knowing it probably would annoy Eclipse. She stood, wincing as her leg met the ground and her head ached from the slam it had received. In all honesty, staying on her own wouldn't be best, but she wouldn't say that out loud. Though she wouldn't be fast, she could probably fly away but as she had already stated aloud, curiosity killed the-
Dragon.

“Bossy bossy,” mocked Sunspot, rolling her eyes but standing up anyway. She turned to look at Neoma. “Coming?”

Eclipse didn't wait for the Lunarwing to respond to Sunspot, just turned sharply and strode confidently into the tunnel carved in the side of the ominous boulder.
"Move it or lose it!" she barked over her shoulder at the other two.

King smiled, opening his big blue and white wings and leaping into the sky with a whoosh. Once they were both airborne and flying side by side, he glanced over and cleared his throat. “Soo…how did you and Corvus survive out there? Near the compound and all, without hearing of the Nests?”
“Uhh,” said Phoenix. “I don’t know… I guess we just didn’t know anything different?” She felt boring and drab, but she didn’t know how to force any more interesting responses past her jaws. It was like her mind was trapped in a cage and only bits of it were let out at a time in front of strangers, and the rest hoarded like bits of gold. It was frustrating.

King nodded knowingly. “I get that, I was trapped in a human city from the day I was hatched until I was almost an adult. At first I didn’t think much of it, my life was fairly normal. But I started hearing things, and seeing things.” He said with a look that told of a young dragon, finally learning who he truly was meant to be. “Everything is so different now.” He said with a smile, but it faded as he remembered Zander and how far they’d come together. “So different…”

“Did you two know any other Cloudwings? Where are your parents? Wait…are you two related orrrr….?” He asked almost awkwardly, slowing his pace slightly to match hers.

Phoenix’s wings flickered as she flew, trying to concentrate on everything all at once. “Oh- me and Corvus? No no we’re not related… or anything like that no.”
She was silent for a few awkward seconds, before continuing rapidly. “We got split off from the rest of our flock a few years ago,” she said, stumbling over her words.

She fidgeted with her claws anxiously. Why are you so bad at this??? Her mind screamed.

King was curious now, like always, his crest raised as he cocked his head slightly, but he realized he might be overwhelming her a bit. “Oh ok I see.” He replied, flying steadily and slowly, his eyes going back to searching for Corvus. They flew for what seemed like ages in the silence but was only a minute or two in reality. He had soooo many questions that he didn’t want to ask, but one was just too much for him to keep in.
“So Phoenix, how did you get your…uh, I guess fire feathers is the best choice of words for it? Did the…uh...Sun give them to you… like the Moons give nightwings powers?” He asked, unsure of how to word it. He knew of Skywings and Solarwings having fiery abilities, and the occasional crazy Animus legends, but never a Cloudwing.
