Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

"Uh, no." Bloodmoon said in confusion. He leaned closer to Tobias and said, "Who are they?"
"I dunno. I'm waiting for- oh." He ducked out of the room, motioning the NightWing into the lot. He gave a short wave to Roe, who was walking down the center of the hallway, three RainWings at her side.
"Hey. Sorry, to call you out here, but... This foo said you could speak on his behalf or something, and I'm bout to turn him in otherwise-" Tobias dragged a hand through his hair as Roe stopped beside him, peering into the lot.
"I know him. That is Nicholas."
Tobias swore. "Ight. Thanks."
"Why is he locked in a cage?"
"I, uh... He broke into my lot- and then... They ate my phone," Tobias rolled his eyes, dropping his hand to his side, "K, this is all so  stupid, like, what is even happening. How do you know him? He's talking all about rebellion stuff-"
Roe inhaled sharply, pressing her lips tightly together, her dragons appearing equally as uncomfortable. "If you want to talk about this- we need to be somewhere private."
She stepped into the lot, and he followed, the RainWings close behind.
Tobias shut the door, leaning against it with an exhausted look.

Eclipse's eyes widened as Tobias swung the door wide, revealing the dragon standing behind it, and she froze. The strange reddish Nightwing who had passed the lot earlier was standing in the doorway, peering in as Tobias jabbed a finger at the strangers in the cage. Eclipse felt the urge to hide, but she didn't move. Just stood there, only faintly aware she was holding her breath, waiting for the Nightwing to see her. The way he had looked at her, like he was peering right into her mind, unnerved her. She wondered if maybe that was exactly what he had done--read her mind. And now he was right here. Why? Was he looking for her? He must be here to kill me, she thought, and then startled at the idea he may have heard the voice in her head. She pressed a wrist against her temple, trying to shove her mind out of the downward spiral. Don't be stupid. Nightwings are all bark and no bite. Of course he can't read your mind. And it's probably just some silly patrol thing of the humans. He'll be gone any second.

(I'm not sure if Blood can actually read her mind or not though, lol)

"Hey Roe" Nic grinned, " And also, may I add that we did not eat your phone, he did. Now, can you let us out of this cage? It's lowering my extremly high ego."

Bloodmoon shook his head and said "No, no, I'm not here to kill you, don't think things like that. My name is Bloodmoon, what's yours?"

Eclipse jolted, her eyes flying wide. Three moons he-- panic flashed through her mind and she tried to press back the flood of thoughts that swirled into her head. What can he see? Can he read my memories? Does he know about-- she shoved the thought away fiercely, trying desperately not to think about anything at all. She gripped her head in her talons, staring into the Nightwings red-tinted eyes. Don't think--think of anything else. She yanked her gaze away from his, only realizing as she tried to focus on what was going on around her that he'd asked for her name. "Nothing important," she grumbled, still in a panic. But despite her avoidance of the answer, she still felt the instinct bubble up into her head to answer and her own name flashed briefly across her mind. Blasted moons, nice work you idiot, she thought, dropping her head into her talons, her scales burning with embarrassment.

Bloodmoon pushed himself out of her thoughts. "Eclipse, it's okay. Your not an idiot, every dragon responds like that."

That felt wrong. How he just said her name, so easily, so casually, without her ever having told him. Part of her was somewhat begrudgingly comforted by his words. But at the same time, it unnerved her more. The only direct interaction she'd ever had with a Nightwing was the hunter leader she had killed two days earlier. Aside from that, she'd never spoken to one before. And that particular Nightwing could only see the future--or so he claimed--so she had never experienced the idea of another dragon reading her thoughts like an open book. She peered between her claws at the young Nightwing, her pupils slitted defensively. Bloodmoon... how fitting. Isn't that a lunar eclipse? I wonder if maybe that's why he's that color. Did he hatch on an eclipse? She stopped her thoughts short, lifting her head but not looking at him. She focused her attention on Tobias and the other humans, and the 3 Rainwings, as well as the fourth one that wasn't quite a Rainwing.
They were all quite an interesting assortment of beings. The prickly, scrawny little fluffball of a dragon and his strangely silent and humorous brown Leafwing tag-along. The noticeably colorless Mudwing. The human with a band of colorful, eye-scorching Rainwings, and the arrogant stranger with his mute and deaf not-quite Rainwing. The extraordinarily rare and silver Lunarwing and the unusually red Nightwing. And of course, Sol, the prince of the Solarwings, completely oblivious to everything happening in the lot. Eclipse wondered faintly how such a peaceful little enclosure had turned into such a show so fast.
I supposed that's just what happens in the Scorpion Den. All sorts of dragons end up here.

Tobias let him out, trying to hide his annoyance, and failing miserably. "What's this about a rebellion, Roe?" He asked quietly, his eyes on the strange new NightWing.
Roe, who was still standing beside the door, nodded. "There is a group working to free the dragons." She spoke in low tones, her thick accent making it hard to decipher every word. "We thought you may be of help. Your relationship with Sol leads us to believe that you think more of dragons than meets the eye."
"My relationship with Sol does not apply to every mix match dragon throughout the den."
"No. But I cannot help but realize the LunarWing is out of the cage, her wing has been stitched, and she is no longer hiding." Roe met Tobias' gaze. "It was not so this morning."
Tobias gave Nicholas a suspicious glance as he folded his arms, "How many are in on it?"
Roe hesitated, and one of the RainWings, a the oldest of the trio, blue and white splotches scattered throughout her scales, answered gently, "We are nearing sixty."
Tobias dropped his gaze, tearing a hand through his hair. After a moment he whispered, "What do you want me to do?"

Eclipse paced forward, keeping a wary eye on the Nightwing. "Tobias, can you please tell me what's happening? Why is everyone freaking out and acting all mysterious and why did you let that annoying human and his dragon out?"

Tobias moved to Eclipse' side. "I'm sorry. You're handling this so well." He said in dragon, taking a weary glance at Sol, who seemed to be sleeping. "I invited Roe. Not him. Or him. Or him." He pointed to Nicholas, the leaf hybrid, and the NightWing. "They'll be out soon enough. But-... They're talking about a rebellion." He turned to Roe and Nicholas, "Look, we all speak dragon, so cut the English out and the others can listen in."

"I take that as an offense. I'm not annoying!" Nic said, than turned to Tobias, much more seriously. "As I said, we need your help figuring out how to get these many dragons out of here." His head pounded, an oncoming migrane. "Do you have any water?"
