Blue Raptor
Ad Astra Per Aspera
“Ugh, how do we fix this?” Winter whispered, studying the broken door. It creaked as he leaned it forward. “Shhh..” Raptor hissed subconsciously, watching over his shoulder at the sand outside, glowing white in the moonlight. She kept her flashlight leveled at the floor as the dragon beside her grumbled quitetly.Sol extended his wing, pushing Tobias gently towards himself, propping the man up into a sitting position.
Tobias gave a heavy sigh, waking slowly. "Oh, I'm so tired." He whispered, leaning heavily against Sol, holding his arms tightly across his chest.
"That's alright." Sol responded, his gaze ahead, eyes watching the IceWing dragonet. "I'll let you know what happens."
Tobias nodded, turning his head away.
Sol let his gaze shift towards Eclipse.
“Ahh, I can’t fix this right now,” Winter muttered, “the hinges stuck to the doorframe, and I’d need a drill or something to put it back on.” “That’d be loud though,” Raptor said, looking over at the door, “did you finish the other door? Or—entrance? Whatever?” Winter grimaced, glancing at her. “Ahhhhhno. Heh. I meant to.” He rubbed his neck, leaning the door against the doorframe.
Raptor huffed.
“I mean.. we’ve still got the bunker. That’s all that matters, right? And now we know it won’t be easily found.” Winter stuck his head through the doorway and glanced around as Raptor ‘mmed’ her agreement. “It’s almost midnight anyway. They’ll be here any minute. Want me to go look for them or do you want to?” The SandWing hybrid much more preferred Winter or Leuria or someone else make executive descisions, but she was.. technically.. running the operation. So it was technically.. up to her. Unfortunately. She hated making descisions.
She ran the scenario through her mind, deciding it was a task she would be able to do fairly easily. “I can go,” she responded, and furrowed her brow. “They better not have their headlights on right now though, or they’ll definitely get seen.”
“Ugh, thanks. I didn’t not want to walk out there and try to find some trucks in the darkness.” Winter sat down contentedly right inside the door, tucked out of sight. Raptor winced, realizing she’d forgotten that Winter couldn’t fly. She knew SnowWing couldn’t really fly, but their wings gave her a false sense that they could.
The SandWing hybrid squeezed her wings closer to her body, stepping out onto the cold, firm sand. She glanced back and forth several times, her ears perked for signs of guards before heading out into the darkness.
