Off season for laying ducks?

Hey y'all! I feel silly for asking, but is there an off-season for ducks as far as laying goes? It's barely getting cold here in Louisiana, and I'm only getting an egg from my two girls every couple of days. Is this normal? They both seem healthy and I don't feel any eggs trapped in their bellies, so I don't think anyone is egg bound.

Yes fall/winter time most ducks will stop laying until spring.
And ducks that haven't started yet will not usually start until spring rolls around again.

How long have they been laying? New layers are ok to miss several days. Mine did. And yes fall/winter is usually there break months.

I keep thinking my Runners and Buffs will slow down soon then I go an find 6 eggs from all 6 girls. My Muscovy are finished for this year.

Me too! I'm still getting 3 a day from my 3 ducks (Runner, Ancona, Pekin). For few days I was only getting 2 but they were molting - now that they are done molting I'm back to 3 a day and it's been REALLY cold. I love our little egg laying machines!

I have gotten 2 for several days form my buffs...this morning I will probably go out to find 4! Who know where the fourth one will come from cuz I only have 3 girls!

Hidy gift places I have one show up like that even when I use the pitch fork to run through the shaving those little stinkers are sure sneaky.

Mine were consistently laying an egg a day per duck all summer... Now I consistently get 2 eggs a day total from 5 laying ducks. Some went through a bit of a molt. I know it's not always the same two ducks laying every day as well. I suspect they are all laying, but not all laying every day at this point. Normal.
