There are a lot of variables in the chicken business. Methods that work in Alaska or Minnesota sometimes don't work in Arizona or Mexico. The deep litter method is fine in some places, but in hotter climates not so good. We don't need any added heat.

Likewise, coops vary. We are concerned with ventilation and shade, and not so much with keeping the birds warm.

So, it seems to me that there is no one tried and true method. We have to do what is best in our own personal situation. If someone offers an impractical solution to an issue, it is best to just ignore it.

And then, there are those that take exception to anything posted. They think they know everything and cannot stand another opinion. Again, just ignore them. If they want to pick a fight, let then go elsewhere.

I hear you. I make a few mistakes now and then, but I feel glad when people correct them, so I can learn from my mistakes. I also feel sad when people try to correct their mistake.

I hope I am welcome here, see I have low self-esteem and think you are all talking about me, I try to be respectful, I do things a bit differently than others and can get in trouble for that, and sometimes I feel cheeky and maybe try to be funny but it probably doesn't work, but I always try to be respectful and answer unanswered posts to bring them to the top. I am a fairly new member, but I've been lurking since the beginning and have read all kinds of crazy fighting posts, this place used to get really rowdy. The written word can get misinterpreted pretty easy.
