Once they feather out (about 2-3 weeks) they can go outside in cages. But for 20 or so chicks you can brood in a 10 gal aquarium. So I put them in there, snap on a reptile screen lid, and light goes on the screen. Takes up the same room as a fishtank.

Yes, Chelle taunted us all with her new lovely barn. Then her car drove itself to Lowes AND bought the paint on it's own. Very talented car that one.
