Sparkles, salad garden...hmmm...maybe I should start one for fall salads. Yum. I don't have any old wheelbarrows but I'm sure I could find someplace to put one.

I froze a bunch of broccoli last night, but not nearly enough. I may have to go to the farmer's market to buy some to freeze. We eat a blessed lot of broccoli. (Side note, broccoli is fun to type!)

I have been down in the dumps lately. Last night I cleaned my house and told myself to snap the **** out of it. It seems to have worked.

They were just going to let this kid dissapear for a week and not even confirm where they were going or with who? I mean this nicely but we live in a poor area, our kids are already unusual because they have pocket money, toys and trips (we live quite cheaply the rest of the year to save for the trips). At least 4 of thier friends who know the house rules here say "i wish I could live here", so i don't think our kids suffer much.

Scary, isn't it? I have kids that want to hang here and I make them give me their parents phone number. The parents hardly ever ask where I live, or say when they have to come home or anything. They just seem to want the kids out of their hair by any means possible.
