Yeah, the school called and said we can sign Annika up now for school, she's young by 3 months, but she's at the level of 1st or 2nd grade in most of the areas. They realized yeah, we've got 7 other kids in school with them, 1 in college - duh, she's picked up on things. Heck, I don't even TRY to teach her anything, but when the munchkin wants someone to read to her, and the sibling picks up whatever book they are reading for school, well, she picks stuff up.
They put Charlotte back to 10th grade, which is where she should be, but was going to be in 11th because she was out of what was offered. She's ok with it, seems to fit in better with the 10th graders we've met, likes the classes, shouldn't have problems with them, it gets her more time to do things, so she likes it.
Other than that, 29th ain't here soon enough.
Pictures? You mean I still have to get a camera?
That;s where we were with erik, his birthday is early april, usually the cut-off date is april 15th, but they moved it back that year to March 31st, so he was 8 days too young. At that poing he'd burned thru all of the kinder and preschool work, so I enrolled him in the program as an independant student that first year, and paid cash to do so. He worked thru summer, got another grade ahead (his brother had summer school that year, for reading enrichment), so he walked in the first "official" day of K already worked thru the k &1st grade OF THE SAME PROGRAM. Crazy bat wanted me to have him start the K books over again, because that's what the charts said.
Cut off for the school is Sept 1st, like I said, part of me wants Minotauro and Minotoro here by then so I'm not stuck at home with them for an extra year. But since hey, the school is willing to lax the rules slightly for one, I think they'll be ok with the twins who would be a month young. Or they might not be ready by then. Whatever, I've got 4 years and a month to figure that out.
Annika will be in the PK program, but will have special sessions with the areas she needs. Or something like that. Blah. All I got was woohoo, she gets to go to school, so I will not have a bored 3 y/o on my hands with newborns. I don't care what classes/programs they stick her in, she's off my hands.
Orchy - yup, his parents didn't show up to court so the state said, sure, if you want him, go ahead. So we moved him along with us.
