BamBam is now laying on the ground, curled protectively around his cereal, insisting that he is NOT ok, and that he doesn't love me.

Yes, my kids do that. Actually, they insist that I don't love them.... Lars said "you don't even like me" the other day. I informed him that if I really didn't like him I wouldn't feed him, bathe him, provide shelter, or give rules because I wouldnt care what happened to him. Also I told him that parents who don't like their kids punch them, he is now pretty sure that I like him.

The whole time I was taking the boys to school, there were helicopters circling and circling over my house. Turns out some guy barricaded himself in his apartment 6 blocks over. The helicopters just left, so I am assuming they got him out.

Or realized the apartment was empty....

Ender's thing is, "WHY DO I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING? You don't do ANYTHING for me!!!"

....

....

I am pretty sure I don't like him right then.

Kids get jealous of the phone, the internet, the chickens.... things that make mom happy. This is particularly true for kids that very seldom produce mom-happying behavior.
