both. If I may venture to say.........We have Maine Anjou crossed with angus and some English short horn for good measure. One of the bulls is dominant black but rescessive red and a few of the cows are the same so we have a couple black cows with red calves.

Man! Don't you just love genetics?!?

We have blck angus which were crossed with holstein about 20 generations ago to get the frames bigger... and after breeding them to only angus for YEARS they still randomly throw black and white splotched calves every blue moon.

Don't know anyone with the last name "B". But I did see the thread you mentioned. I also found his site on line. And yeah, they were bad. But I'm a big animal kinda person so I wanna see it in LF. All that feathery goodness in purple haze! yuppers!
