Sounds like a most excellent weekend Michelle!

DH and DS#1 got my new coop framed up. It's in one end of the horse shed so guess who was "helping" the entire time?

Three horses, one kitten, and a bunch of chickens. Good thing DH has a sense of humor.

What were you using blukote on that you just noticed the blue fingers from?

I wasn't, I was responding to bows' use of Blukote in the dark.

But I use it a lot on the horses when they scrape themselves up on something or other.

We are doing a Roaring 20's Murder Mystery party in January for work. I was thinking of making something with feathers for a hat. It occured to me, looking at the blue slate feathers from one of my turkeys that they might look really cool painted with blue kote (I have the daubber kind) since the feather is grey marked with white, it would be a 2-tone purple. I may have to test my theory and see if it comes out like I want it to.

Yes, our baby polar bear was a BIG help with the fencing. He made sure H2B's ear was all shiny clean

FYI: grown men giggle like little girls when they are getting a wet-willie from their favorite puppy while doing heavy lifting.

I bet it will be neat. I had to put Blukote on one of my BO hens this spring and she still has a couple of purple feathers.

I ordered some purple ostrich feathers too but I wanted to incorporate some of my own.

On another note... My friend came to visit Saturday and collected some feathers from the coop. Her friend blows out turkey eggs and then decoupages them with feathers. That could make some cool ornaments.

Thats a cool idea Michelle. If you wanted other colors you could always try koolaide too.

Going to costume party with neighbors in Fargo.

Were thinking of a group of 4, like, the Flintstones and the Rubbles, the crew from Scooby Doo, KISS, etc.

ORRRRR

Tim is really ok with Popeye and Olive Oyl... which I would be all over, but I think the neighbors really wanted to do a group thing.

But gosh darnit, the Olive Oyl costume is super cute!
