I'd go with whatever will be the least offensive to puke up later - just in case.

Apparently I must have offended one of my cousins, it appears he has un-friended me on FB. Thank God, now I don't have to read about him drinking so much he threw up in their bed. That may have been the post wherein I managed offended him, come to think of it.

Most of DH's family is disgustingly normal and decent. There are a few whackadoos to make up for that.
