OK, so you guys know we've been moving like, FOREVER! Well, we need to get Tom's house on the market and sold but it's an older home that needed some updating so we've been lazy about finishing cause it can't get listed till the egress windows get put in ... blah, blah, blah. His 2 car garage was FULL (19 years worth of "stuff") and the downstairs bedrooms were emptied into the family room to make room for the contractors to work, and that was a lot of stuff too. He's been picking through it all, sorting, sifting, purging (thank goodness)
Well, the windows are done
There is no more time to putter with this project.
So, Thursday night we picked up a 26' U-Haul, we took Friday off and spent all of Friday, All of Saturday and 3 hours Sunday morning loading the truck. It was just the 2 of us loading and we stacked clear to the ceiling, as a matter of fact it was packed so tight nothing was damaged because nothing could move. Anyway, yesterday after work we decided to back the truck up to the shed to unload it. We were nervous about the ground still being too soft but we were out of time so we just did it.
And now the truck is empty
but also very stuck
it sank into the yard. I tried to pull it with my Yukon, no joy
So now I need to leave you wonderful peeps and go play with a floor jack and some blocks and boards, see if I can get it unstuck so we can return it. What a way to spend a day off.
