My son is named after his family, poor guy is Karl THE FORTH

I tried so hard to get him a different name but they were al against me. We spent a lot of time with his dad's family, so you have 3 Karl's, MIL Darla, Auntie Carla... Now toss in a bottle of wine or three and no one knows who is talking to whom

Hence my son's nickname.... Gooey

The original Karl used to call K3 Goomba, so when K4 popped out we called him that for about a day, then it got shortened.

My husband (whom I love dearly) is named after the movie Shane.

But at some point, he decided his grandfather was a saint of some sort, and inserted his GF's ENTIRE NAME as his middle names.

....and then we find out the GF had mutliple families--one in Alaska---a third in Mexico. He had an entire ranch on the other side of the Mexican border, with 6 or 7 little Latino babies who inherited the ranch when the Mexican government seized all properties from the American citizens.

DH still acts all proud of his "heritage", but what is one to do? Change back and acknowledge the lies? Or just be proud of the man pulled all that off AND owned the Newell mountain range and an Alaskan fishing company and the Buffalo Fort in Naco?

How's the weather up your way Michelle?

Windy and warm. We have been up in the high 50's and low 60's. Yesterday was calm but I can hear it blowing now. We are known for our winds, they are frequent and get up around 50- 70 mph.

I have no idea how I got my name, nor do I much care. To learn, I'd have to speak to the people I've not spoke to in 15 years, and I'm keeping it that way. Amanda Elsabet Frederica. Got me on all of that.

DS18 is Matthew, DD14 is Charlotte, DS12 is Harrison, DS10 is Daniel, DS9 is Nicholas, DS7 is Grant, DD6 is Stephanie and DD3 is Annika. We kept 'em pretty boring here.
