Morning kids.

Still rubbing sleep outta my eyes.

Had to drive the bobcat last night. SO should have had DH holding the camera, apparently my inner feelings about it all were VERY clearly written on my face. Would have made a good post.

Should have called in today, so much to do for our trip... but if I got it all done in one day I'd drive myself nuts for the next few days.

Mentally frying as we speak, I will be very useful to clients today.

Cute kiddle Belle!

I LOVE pear stuff Saddi, I'm glad you make pear soap

Good luck on the NPIP stuff Nells

just did a quick scan...

Belle, what can I say? He's a cutie! (No surprise there)

Saddi's going to Debi's??????

Sparkles gets a vacation? Yay!!!

That was all I have time for.

No complaints here, just busy loving my life. The Icelandics are a HOOT! and my turkey still has an identity crisis. But the 6-wheeler runs now and my girlfriends and I are planning a caribou hunting trip for October. YUM!

Love to all, I'll try and pop back in later today.

So I was at the neighbor's for a few minutes last night, and they had another friend there for a beer, and the guy was all "Oh so I suppose you'll have to put that stuff in their water to keep them from going cannibalistic on you." I was like "uhhhhh..... No." and he's all "well, we have to do that with pheasants and turkeys." uh, what"stuff" do you put in their water? All I could think was "Don't drink the kool-aid!"

Rooster booster or electrolytes. A tablespoon of sugar if you have nothing else, Gatoraid (with real sugar or corn syrup) in a pinch.

I always give my new chicks electrolytes and a bit of sugar in their water. The sweetness makes them drink more.

I lost two more of the pricey-ace Icelandics. I am not sure if there is something wrong with my mini-flock in the brooder, or if they are just weak. I dunno. The other chicks in there seem to be doing fine.

I hatched out 6 of The Warden's Icelandics yesterday, but with something killing off the older chicks, I didn't want to risk it. Since I had to deliver Mahonri's thank-you present last night, (for Rachel's eggs) so I gave all six to one of his super-broodies.

Mahonri's thank-you present:
I wanted to ---FINISH IT--- finish it, but I really really really needed my parking space back. It is getting hot. I also refrained from painting it, because I would have chosen "center-stripeyellow" or "hotpants pink" or something horrid. I *heart* reject paint from Home Depot.

When I come across some more expanded metal, I want to replace the hardware cloth.

The front comes down for easy cleaning. I am also making some front doors for it, for later installation if needed. (Mahonri is super-tall, so he probably doesn't need them)
