It's Buffday.

House still smells like armpits--even after moving the dehydrator outside for 12 hours.

I was able to combine all the onions onto one tray (formerly 10 pounds of onions, now down to 10-16 oz) and then stuck a bunch of watermelon on the other trays.

Will the watermelon smell/taste like onions? Let's find out....

The DH and the neghbor ate almost all the jerky I made last weekend, so I made them cut up (neighbor has a meat slicer) another batch. Tomorrow my house will smell like curing jerky, melons, AND armpits. Horaaay!




So grandma is sending Chatterbox to sports camp next week. Apparently he's irritating the heck outta her too.

Too scared theyd make my chickens sick LOL. I only kept them locked up for a day, I felt bad for them since they were in such crappy conditions before I got them. Should I lock them up for a couple of days???? (please say no, please say no) That roo is huge!!!! Put I will if I have too, I need to catch him anyway and take care of his spurs, the poor hens are missing feathers on thier backs.

How friendly is the roo? The baked potato method works SLICK to get spurs off.
