Deb, that's horrid about your son's sunburn.
My son got to do inspection on the vehicles to make sure they are in good working order, and put those tent tarp things on them.
He also go to drive a truck and the sergeant said good job and he gets his license now!
He got to come home last night, as he was only two hours away, but tonight he leaves again, for the whole two weeks.
Yesterday was an extra duty thing he volunteered for.

We have fleas, ticks, black widows, but no chiggers. Although DH has gotten chiggers when traveling.
What is the best chigger med?

Poor Faith, she is just not having a good time with this litter. She started bleeding from the rear yesterday and passed another dead (and bloody) kit last night. She has acted normally this entire time, eating drinking pooping peeing and active. Very strange. Poor thing.

Kit looks cute. Its getting silvery blueish fur....

morning morning morning all.

well its friday, bout time too.

DH was trying to get the baling finished up last night, so he went straight to the field when we got home... my one task from him was "feed the bottle calf!". I had church music practice at 8pm 20 mi away, but I figured, we got home at 5:30, I had lots of time. I went out and weeded in the gardens, MORE, and lost track of time. Suddenly it was scramble time to get supper done bfore I had to leave and I TOTALLY forgot about the calf!!! DH was SO mad... like I had purposefully not fed the calf. I felt bad, I didn't even remember that he'd asked me to feed him till he yelled at me.

Whatevs, I had a nice time at practice in spite of the froggy voice. There are 4 of use that sing, and one panist. I sing really low unless I have to go soprano... and I usually sing the melody at church but alto at home... we have a soprano and and alto and another gal who sings the melody with me. But they think that I should go for a 4th vocal part and start doing a tenor something or other. Uuuuummmmm that's so not safe. We'll see.

Ordering the BSA handbook today for DS#1. According to my Grandma he needs to learn knots NOW because my bio dad is talking about having him "camp jack" for him in the mountains out in WY in annother couple of years. (Camp jack is the equivalent of a cabin boy on a ship)

Kicked the 3 mo old ducklings out of the 3 days ago, and now getting the pen cleaned up for the Laree/Mahonri chicks to move outof my garage... so I will get to park in there for like, 3 weeks, till the turkey's I ordered hatch.
