My other weekend adventure:

Was bathing chickens for the show, and 'B' had been acting kinda droppy. Put up a heck of a fight at bathtime though, so I thought he'd be okay. Then on Saturday morning he was looking pitiful. So I put him in the pen with the older gals and hit the road.
Saturday night he was snuggled up with the older girls, looking just dandy. Pitched a fit when I wanted to examine him, so I decided he was fine again.

Sunday I walked around the coops to check on everyone, and noticed the older gals sand-bathing so strenuously that there were feet stuck straight up into the air. Then I realized the feet belonged to 'B', who was gasping and half-buried in sand. Uh oh. So I pulled him out of there and he leaped from my hands and proceded to bounce around the yard like a gigged frog.
I gathered him up and put him in a shady, grassy protected spot with some water. I figured he'd be a goner by the time we got home from our shopping expedition.

He wasn't. He was pacing back and forth, obviously wanting to get back to the old gals and let them bury him some more.
Examined him again. Can find nothing wrong. Other than that he's TIRED of being examined.

Shoved him into a Beaner brooder pod with an old gal for company while I continue to observe him. My current diagnoses is that he's a PITA.

Today will suck. Two people are out and I am responsible for both of their work. YAY ME. So I am supposed to do 24 hours of work in 8 hours.

Hahahhaha.

Had a really good time at the show on Saturday. Trying to find a petsitter for 1 stinking visit so that I can do the shelbyville show. I would have to drive up early and drive home late but it would be fun!

It would be fun! We'd have you, me and Sarah all there together.
How scary for Shelbyville LOL.

DH swears we'll shut the hatch on this trip so that the battery doesn't die again....
I'll try to remember to bring you some sunscreen. I don't even look like I got any more of a tan.

Today you need to take enough 'smoking' breaks for 3 people.

Quit talkin bout me behind my back.

So....wed. on me birthday they are going to come out 8-8:30 and hook up my net. So I'll see ya all then.

...poo story....friday night after I bought the place and me and mom brought a few things over....her lil dog goes scootin her toosh across the porch floor leavin skid mark. My first pet soiling in my new house. Sooo disappointing...

But at least it was on a wood porch and not on the carpet though she was heading that way until I grabbed her and threw her in the kitchen sink and washed off her dingleberry...no soap, no towels...completely unprepared and sooo giving mom's lil dog the stink eye.

Have a good day...Zoe puked all yesterday so I have her home today. le sigh...

wait...did I cover all the bases? poo and vomit. check and check.

good day!

Congrats on the new house! I am STILL waiting for pictures.... *taptaptaptaptaptap*

Lori and Beaner, glad you had fun at the show! Lori, I need new bras too but the salesgirls at VS give me the heebie jeebies.

DH laughed at me all weekend. He said he's known me for 18 years and never knew I could produce that much snot.

Happy Monday.....*cough cough*

Crashed my work PC on friday, not fixed yet so I'm on a backup crapper.

Got a heckuva sunburn on Saturday, it was ALMOST worth it but now that i'm at work and require ALL of my appropriate layers of clothing its not so great.

Mother's day went good, took the kids to church while DH farmed. Then it rained so he decided to manure and turn my garden for me. Took me to lunch and bought me flowers at the nursery after church.
Played with the bottle calf which was a hoot!

The Bigger one had his first piano recital last night. So proud!

My silkie learned how to lay eggs so I threw it in the bator with the duck eggs.

Yes, between you me and sarah, it would be tons of fun. Also, I could hopefully sell my last batch of chickens, and I was also thinking of making some of those wire cages to sell. And maybe some of my bucket feeders.

Did you see the cage I had the speckled sussex in? It had two compartments. If I did a 3 compartment version, what do you think would be a fair selling price?

This one was so cute and itty bitty and perky. Like VS hired an elf or a gnome.
The dude at the cash register though..... Asked if I'd borrowed my mother's drivers license because there was no way I was that old. Um, dude, seriously? A) you aren't working for tips (oh irony there)
B) if you want to emphasize something, stating it as 'that old' was a real left-handed compliment.
3) do I really look like the kind of woman who'd be turned on by a greased-slick and pierced dude that works in a VS? Cause you're smarmy not cute or complimentary.

But instead I smiled politely and walked away. Fast.

HAhahahahaha...I met one of those guys working at an American Eagle last year...

Speaking of boulder holders....my laundry is currently out of control. Almost had to go two sizes too small today. It looked HYSTERICAL. Thankfully I found 1 only 1 size too small.

Note to self: do laundry tonight.

Sorry for the snot orchy. I had a stomach bug kick in late Saturday and I spent the last day and a half wishing for death. Sigh.
