Mronin Sparkles, only 50 minutes? My kids are grown and gone and I wander around for hours aiming for the front door. So far I've been up for an hour and have fed the chickens, read the paper, and had a cup of coffee and I'm not getting in the shower until I've checked out my favs on BYC. I kinda miss getting the kids off to school. Teehee.

I'm up, coffee is brewing, need some?
When it gets light outside, I will feed animals. I will shower, get dressed, run meds to my dad, then get to work by 7am.

I'm ready for a nap already.

Hi to all the new players!!! Run down, erm, the list of characters on the first page I guess. Otherwise, it's play as you go.

My dad is looking/feeling a lot better, thanks.
He is not happy though, that he has to take so many meds now.
Doc told him the other day that, yes, he will have to take them for his remaining years.

My dad never had to take meds much in the past, so it is a huge adjustment for him.
He will be 84 on Monday.
He still goes to the gym at least 3 times a week and can push over 100lbs on the machines there.


Last night 3 of the chickens escaped their pen when I fed, so they stayed out all night. this morning they were more than happy to run back in.
But I kicked two of the older hens out this morning, one of them I caught the other day as the egg pecker.
And one of my silkies is broody again.
It would be so cute to get her some fertilized eggs again. Son's neighbor said I could have some, hmmm
but, I have 17 hens already, well 5 are about 3 months now.

Good morning all.

Someone make my kids sit down and eat all their breakfast. They are in that "I am hungry!" stage where they constantly steal food out of the fridge but wont eat meals. BamBam woke me up cryinng that he was hungry, but has so far just played with his eggs and toast.
