It was horrible and wonderful all at the same time.

We just walked around and let the boys take pictures of all their favorite super heroes. I wish you could see my impression of Ender when he saw Optimus Prime walking down the street. Or even better, HIS reaction.

Like a preteen spotting Justin Timberlake...which we also saw.

I loaned my soapmaking stuff (well, a little of it) to a student. Need to get it back! Nice to find another fellow soapy/chicken-y person!

I'm giving debi a lesson next month, I have some really nice 2lb molds that came with a lot of larger ones (a soap store was closing and I scored a deal on all of them). Since it's not much more work to do an 8lb batch, I usually work in 8-16 lbs at a time. So Debi can have the mini one to work with, and mr saddi can be happy i've got "one less piece of soap crap" (he's supportive, but I can mess up his house pretty fast). Now I just need to get mr saddi to give me back my lotion, man smells like cherry almond cheesecake. Not manily.

I SHOULD just give him some stuff, but I don't think he'd accept it (very independent!) He'll be a good soaper, he makes great pickles!

Phew. Turned the compost, did poopy pickup, cleaned off the patio, pulled the dead stuff out of the garden, figured out how to turn my nice big pen into a humongous pen. Got DH to install a shade screen for the patio (he hasn't done it yet but if he reneges he knows I'll go buy one at Lowes and do it myself). Had the inevitable "how many chickens/pens/hatchings are you..." discussion. Apparently I'm too fragile for all the building and yard work and chicken work and should save my energy for housework, laundry, and paperwork. And I'm not to spend any money on it. Apparently him going to Las Vegas last month and blowing 3 times the money I've ever spent on my inconvenient hobby from its start up is a fair trade in his pointy little head. And don't get me started on that POS so-called boat.

Wow. Maybe I need a Xanax.

I should have taken before and after photos. The garage last night looked like the aftermath of Joplin, and this afternoon we have the boat, ATV and the truck in there with room to walk.
