As long as it isnt moldly, it wont hurt to feed it to the chickens raw.

Chickens eat poop, you know.

...and baby birds that fall from their nests in storms, wayward shrews, and their own kin who got their heads eaten by coons but took me a day to realize it wasn't dust bathing under the bushes.

Where's Saddi?

SADDI-- Will quail cross-breed with other types of quail? ie Gambels and California? Cortunix and Gambels?

When I start raising quail, I'd rather do the Gambel's since they are what we see running up and down the street. (we're really close to the mountain preserve, and lots of people have coveys living in their yards) BUT-- I don't want to jack up the environment --should a male bird get out and get jiggy with the natural population.

And that sink, looks a little like my sink at work!

Ewww, hope when I get to work tomorrow I don't picture blood and feathers all over it.

Back in '89, when the 'big one' hit here, dh was just putting groceries away. well, the power went out, and so we bbq'd everything that night, even the tv dinners he bought, one big feast!
