I didn't even see my kids this morning. They apparently got up late and I was already out the door to go swim after I did chores, ate breakfast and took a shower. I bet DH really had fun getting them out the door to the bus on time.

I wonder how he likes it now that I have a life? Hmmm, I don't think I'll ask him.

I did 9 laps this morning. I feel like a rubber band.

sparkles, I'm sure those books being back at school are NOT the end of the world - but the lie could be the end of HIS little world.

Kids.

Parson's Wife :

Today is a better day.

I'm pretty sure that is descriptive enough.

It's a good day...been rolling smooth for several hours. PTL!
If it derails again today.....

Something in the air I guess...mine were overly dramatic this morning, too. I love the kids' bus driver because she brings peace to my life every morning at 8:20am.

I'm in a great mood because my beautiful Buff Silkies (who are ELEVEN months old) laid their first eggs this morning!

I thought they were never going to give them up!

We get picked up at 7:20 but it's best to be out there AT LEAST 5 minutes early because you never can tell if she'll be early or late...one time at the old house she was over half an hour late...cuz of a train...but seriously, when it's sooo flippin cold and not to know and our house had a long drive so it was pretty important to be at the END of the drive rather than wait up in the warm house...which the bus driver told her she could not do before when it was raining or blowing frigid winter wind...which I think is stupid...we were miserable waiting out there and then that meant I left my toddler up in the house alone hopefully being good and watching cartoons and not getting into things while we waited for the bus. Now this year at this new house...she seems to come early...we'll see how the winter drive goes. Plus my house is near the road so they can wait in the house now.

We have a long driveway but we're the only pickup on our road, so the bus comes down the drive and around the circle because otherwise it has to back in to the end of our drive and turn around anyway. My kids are very fortunate to get picked up basically at our doorstep. When I was a kid, yep, we froze our hineys off at the end of the driveway.

Cream colored. I've been waiting forever for these little guys to put out. CityGirlintheCountry gave me some eggs from her SQ Buff Silkies and I hatched 5 chicks - 2 roos and 3 hens. Then I lost 1 hen and 1 roo in the heat of the summer, so I'm down to a trio and I've been so afraid something would happen to my Silkies before I had the abilty to keep the line going. So glad they started laying! (Although DH isn't going to be happy that I'm going to want to hatch chicks now.)

Our school does seem to run later than the schools in the surrounding counties. Bus picks up about 8:20am and doesn't drop off until about 4:25p.

Our bus gets here at 6:50. Thank Heavens. And tonight is church, so the kids are going to my mom's after school and staying over. I'm leaving early today to go to Fargo with my neighbor to find our costumes.

Morning. I am still all angrified at the MIL, and it is spilling over into my normal personality. So, I am going to calm down for a few days and come back.

I hope everyone is having a good week!
