FB is acting retarded again.......and can anyone explain the random "friend" shuffle? I am beginning to believe it isn't so random. And that is creeping me out.

Batty, have you changed your settings so that you see posts from all your friends? Otherwise, it just posts from the friends you have interacted with recently...yeah, I know what you're thinking...HTH are you supposed to interact with people if you can't see their posts?!

And on that note, good afternoon everyone. I am being miserably awful at keeping up in here. Too much to do in real life.

g~ I saw your owl visit story. I thought it was cool (thought I'd said so but maybe not).
The rehab I took Frightful to is just for carnivorous birds. they do keep the birds that are unreleasable, or find them a home where they can be 'education' birds. But there's a nearby park called Ijams that keeps all small wild mammals that can't be released, and uses them for education animals. The tamer ones come out like at the zoo, the wilder ones have little sanctuary-style abodes where it's like their natural home and they can hide if they want.

Yes, having Frightful stick around has been lovely. Knowing she's okay is comforting. I had hoped we'd see juvies this past summer, but we didn't. Makes sense, since the bird she kung-fooed out of the tree is still around. It's the one that tried to get my birds one afternoon.
Frightful is the reason I put my culled birds in the freezer for the rehab center. I'm taking them a batch later this month!
