ALERT! I bought a new phone! Just ordered it tonight so will probably have it up and running by next Monday. Its the nerdy R2D2 droid phone from Verizon. SUCH A NERD.

I could use one back just in case. I have a broody now on her last week....she is due this coming weekend. I was just thinking that if she broke broody now I'd be screwed!

I don't have any other broodies right now, but don't plan on starting back hatching for another month or two, really. I haven't trimmed butts for fertility or finished my breeding pens yet.

Oscar Emu is still in the other one, until March 10th. SOme days I feel very hopeful and some days I feel very bummed and negative. I never did get a stethescope to listen in. I need to do that. Except that I still wouldn't trust it, you know? Or maybe I would. I dunno.

I have project eggs hatching. So far, the first chick is not the color I was expecting....

I think I'm open for most any time. I need to get my new pair of birds sometime in the next week but not sure when it'll be.


We have all our regional sales managers for the US and Canada here in the office this week. This means catered food and lots of junk. They were meeting on a different floor today, so finally at the end of the day they brought up about 4 dozen leftover donuts plus a bunch of GIANT cookies. I grabbed a donut and a huge peanut butter cookie.....


.....and then I stuffed my face.

I sent that picture to my boyfriend with the tag "Nelly vs Donut".

So is this a bad time to ask how that diet is going?
And how many miles yo've wracked up on the elliptical?

Actually the diet is going well. If you consider it a change of eating habits and not a diet per say. I am not "dieting", I am just trying to eat better. I ate that donut cause I skipped lunch, yo! I have lost a couple pounds but nothing signficant. But what is significant is that i have lost ANY WEIGHT and not just that, haven't gained weight.

SO YAY ME.

Mom got me a pair of Not Your Daughter's jeans... I can't tell you how happy I was to still be a 10... And for Mom to be a snug 12. I felt a little guilty for feeling so smug....

I am a snug 12. I want to be a loose 10 again. But I have probably lost 5 lbs total over the last month. Which is huge for me. Cause I fail at losing weight. I have saved money too.........

.....up until today that is. Bought 2 new space heaters, my new phone (yay) plus dog food and miscellaneous crap. And need to pay my charter bill. I think that will be a $350-400 hit by the end of the day. Yikes.
