Alright all you hatching overachievers, here's a question: When does a fertilized egg under a hen start to grow (i.e. days/temp/mood?), such that all the eggs of one clutch by one hen hatch on the same day?

SO: if the hen gets off the eggs, development does not progress. Many a hen will lay an egg, leave until the next day, and then lay again. Once she has "enough" she will sit on the eggs to bring them up to "growing" temperature.
