I'll disagree with this one because:
1-Personal experience
2-Girls are witchy
3-It is hard to do study groups when boys are not allowed through the threshold into the study lounge or your room.
Depends on the place.
1- Based mine on my experience.
2- Of course, but you get that anywhere.
3- Boys were allowed in our rooms until 9pm, and could be in the downstairs lounges until 11pm lock-up.
4- There were a LOT of places on campus to meet & study, and I never wanted anyone in my room.
I lived in a girls-only dorm and it smelled so much better than the guy-only or co-ed dorms. Boys are icky.
We were allowed to have guys visit, even sleep over, but they needed to be escorted by a girl through the building. They couldn't use the girls restrooms, but there were guy restrooms in designated places. Guys were allowed in the lounges and lobby without escort, but most of the study groups happened in the hub (student center).
There wasn't a lot of partying done in the dorms because they were too closely monitored, most of the partying happened in frat houses and off-campus housing. My roommate was a big party girl, but I didn't mind because it kept her out of our room for hours at a time (often all night) and I got peace and quiet. The dorms were MUCH quieter than my house because I was one of 6 kids and it was always chaotic.
