I would probably have the most fun sitting at Sommer's booth, hawking her wares. My dad always called me his "little entrepreneur"

She's young and you just confused her.

LOL Debi, how did you know I had to google Timothy Leary!?!

OMG! Too funny. I thought everyone knew who he was.........Oh I bet she got him confused with Dennis Leary.

Mee too! I know it is dorky, but I like the artistry and then the "business" side of it. Maybe next year I will convince Sommer to let me tag along. She says the ladies use the week as an excuse to dump the families, get drunk, and gossip.

It is NOT dorky! I think it's great "ladies time".

A gal who is a consignor here "shows" she's posted on FB her winnings so far. he says they all hang out at the Holiday inn and get wasted. Sounds like wholesome family fun!

throw them back, I don't think they are big enough to keep.

Well, DD almost pushed me up the stairs, then felt bad. I got a hug.
Got mad about her invason of privacy, then decided it looked good rearranged & clean. I got a hug.
Realized that a great amount of time and effort it took to get it to its new condition. I got a hug.
The only movie they watched at camp was the Princess Bride. I used my line 'There, that wasn't so bad now, was it?' on the way home, and then again after the room discovery.

Wow, I not only know who Timothy Leary is, but I volunteered to test his science project in college. I'd love to watch dancing raindrops. I'll settle for charging my sun jar and playing with that every night instead.

Buffy, you ever fed a cricket to a writer spider? I used to use forceps to do that. I hated spiders, but had to learn to be brave around them on account of my kids liked it when I fed the spiders. Having black widows in the garden beds was acually kind cool, after all that, but then last winter killed them

Praying mantis and black widows are good plant protectors and learn who belongs in their area. I was never threatened by either of them. The writer spiders were scary at first, but once they learned I was bringing treats they would reach out when they saw me.

Any metamorphosis yet in the aquarium, Buffy?

Um, I still have my childhood Breyer horses, I love Star Trek & Star Wars, I still play role-playing games, and I write with a fountain pen every day. I am such a geek I should have a warning label. And now that my daughter is into Steam Punk, I'm looking forward to dressing up and going to a convention of other geeks in costume. Only convetions I ever went to were college conventions of theatre people. Again, can you say geek?

So glad you got your hugs. Seems a bit of time away made them GRATEFUL for mom! YAY!

I've never heard of a writer spider, only pet store tarantulas. Are they big?

The caterpillars are eating machines! Two went on walkabout during the day when we weren't home and we haven't been able to find them. Someday we'll either see some indoor butterflies, or a mummy cater-corpse.

OMG We havent even started and I have 3 GREAT tinkle girl stories. I want to type them up, but this is the fancy conference room and the walls are all glass. Anyone could walk behind me and see....

Oh I am hyperventillating I am so stoked about her antics! Must SHARE
