Yes. That's about the only lesson I learned when I took Sadistics in college...

HelllllooooooooOooOOoOOo!!???
It anybody OUT THERE? (Pink Floyd flashback...)

I have 8 black d'Uccle chicks now. They are adorable but they don't like me already

That will only last until they discover bread.
I have a favorite GoldNeck hen now, because she discovered bread

I'm not too proud to buy chicken love.

My chickens are so spoiled they know the difference between sandwich bread, whole grain french bread (at home we call this 'seedy bread'), and the yeast rolls I buy at the farmers market. They only get the good bread/rolls if someone forgets to put them away and they get all stale or speckled. But the chickers don't care. They'd rather have a mold-freckled yeast roll than a slice of fresh sandwich bread. I find this amusing, but I'm easily amused.

Going to sell the misfit goldneck trio to make more room for the teenagers.
Then the goldneck roo I'm keeping will go into solitary to unlearn hormones 101 and maybe learn some manners at the same time.
The goldneck hen duo will get the baby goldnecks & the potential keeper millie girls to raise.
Then I will only have 12 teens in one pen.

I think Spikely, my favorite silkie, is a cockeral. Now I gotta decide between Spikely, who's pretty but has wing fingers, and Moe. Moe has no wing fingers and is very pretty as well. Practically a barred partridge. I took pics but didnt get around to posting them. Gonna have to, cause my kentuckysilkie keepers turned out very pretty! I'd just rather they were 2 girls & a boy, not the other way around.

Tomorrow's peeve: people that use "impact" as a verb rather than the NOUN it actually is!

Saturday's peeve: people that say "suffice it to say", rather than "it suffices to say".

Sunday's peeve: smelly wildlife biologists

Wow you all had a busy day yesterday! It just figures the day I'm trapped in a meeting room with no computer is the busiset day this week on the Office thread!

We were up at 2:45 a.m. because I heard the guineas having a panic attack so I ran out to the coop with the shotgun (which of course DH showed up and grabbed from me so that he could save the day when I was fully capable) and found a skunk eating food out of the duck's feeder... but I think there was a fox in there too that ran off before we got there because there are guinea feathers from the edge of the yard, across the road and into the CRP field. All 13 guineas are there, none looking too much worse for the wear, so I dont know who had a close shave, but it looks like its time to cage the dog and set the traps for a few nights...

So you're planning on being peeved off until Monday?

If "impact" is a noun, how does a tooth do it?
