What idiots! You'd think they'd figure out the problem after a while.
Roaming dogs are a pet peeve of mine. We fenced in a small area (30x30') off the side door for the dog to poop so no one has to step in it and she doesn't bother anyone. Too bad my neighbors aren't so considerate and my front yard is filled with poo from their dogs. And I can't ever let my chickens free range because there's big dogs that keep coming on my property at random times.
I love not having to look at my neighbors. I'm a quarter mile back off the road and have none except the Red Necks up front. My dogs are free on my property and trained to never leave. I've only had one incident with my dogs and that is when the Red Necks Chickens decide to make the 1/4 mile Journey to my property in the back. My Shepard waited for them to cross the boundries and let the Rooster know he wasn't welcome. My dog didn't kill the chicken but, did grab a few tail feathers. Needless to say she called the cops and the cops said that if he were roaming I would get a ticket b/c he didnt' and the pile of feathers was on my property it was her fault. Hey, I'm smart enough to fence in a half an acre to keep my roaming chickens safe! So, should she I say. She's lost so many chickens to raccoons and weasels but, keeps bringing more home and can't understand where they disappear to. She actually had the nerve to say my dog or I killed/took them. Crazy Lady!!
