Lori, I really am sorry that you're feeling lower than whalesplort. I hope you kick whatever's ailing you, soon!
PS: The core is the most important part of your body. And all the stuff you're doing is working it. That's really good. Pushups don't do much except for shoulders, pecs and a little bit of upper back, and you don't need all that stuff for balance and agility.
Thanks Buffy
I'm getting really tired of feeling bad, and getting kinda scared since I will be leaving town in a few days. Have to hide how bad I feel from DH or he will try to cancel the trip...
I just didn't expect to be feeling this way after 5 days of Z-pac.
I do good core stuff because I have a back that's wimpier than my wrist.
I use dumbells to get some upper body stuff, and to try and avoid getting those flappy bits under my upper arms.
To help with balance, I stand on one leg, close my eyes, and listen to the news. When I start to fall I open my eyes, regroup, and stand on the other leg with my eyes closed. Try it! Balance is easy, until you take away a frame of reference (vision).
And I can't do a push-up, but I can stand on one leg and squish a bug 5' up on a wall with the other leg/ foot. That can be a useful skill....
