No worries Lori, I immediately went to find that thread so I could see the pix

it is just a chick without an eye on one side and a severe crossbeak. Nothing gruesome. Still should be culled though.

I wanted to see it because I had a chick with a deformed head. Nothing gruesome either....its face was just crooked and dented in on one side.......I figured I'd see what happens as it was a single baby with a broody momma who loved him. Sadly it got picked off by a hawk at about 3 weeks old, so I'll never know.

Speaking of chickens (ha), one of my sales reps called me yesterday, had me on speakerphone and asked me if chickens had penises. Penii. Whatever. Nothing quite like getting asked that question in the middle of a workday........even worse, nothing quite like being the person your sales reps automatically think to call when they wonder about the anatomy or sexual behaviors of chickens.

Hey, did anyone go see the new HP movie last night? I think DH and I are going to it tonight. The books were so good, but I enjoy the movies too.

DH was stunned to learn that roosters don't have them.

I offered to take a video and send it to them. They didn't believe it was that short or happened so often. They kept mention wing flapping......I was like well "My chickens don't do that, but that may just be a matter of personal preference on the rooster's side". I said "the rooster hops up there grabs them by the neck and does their thing for about 5 seconds and then hops off and goes about their merry way. The hen just shakes herself off and runs off".

The girl said "......I had a boyfriend like that once"
